Calling all ghost hunters and sitcom fans! Get ready for more ghostly fun because CBS’s hit show Ghosts is back for a chillingly hilarious season 3. We already know there will be laughs galore with the return of our favorite deceased roommates, but a new image has surfaced that reveals a fresh face joining the spectral shenanigans. So, grab your flashlight and prepare to meet a new addition to Woodstone Mansion!

The Haunting Continues

For those who might be new to the show, Ghosts is a laugh-out-loud sitcom about Samantha (played by Rose McIver) and Jay (played by Utkarsh Ambudkar), a young couple who inherit a massive, but rundown, country estate. Their dream of turning it into a cozy bed and breakfast quickly turns upside down when they discover the house is haunted by several colorful ghosts! These aren’t your typical scary spirits though. This bunch includes a sassy Prohibition-era singer, a pompous Revolutionary War soldier, a peace-loving hippie, and more. The twist? Samantha is the only living person who can see and hear them, which leads to all sorts of comedic situations.

Who Moved On?

Season 2 left us with a cliffhanger – the mysterious disappearance of one of the ghosts! Spoiler alert (in case you haven’t seen it yet), the season 3 premiere revealed that Flower, the energetic scout leader from the 80s, had finally moved on to the afterlife. While the remaining ghosts are adjusting to life without their perky pal, it seems they won’t be a ghost-shaped hole in the house for long.

Welcome, Alberta!

The exciting new image shows the main cast gathered around a table, but there’s a new face joining the group. Actress Rebecca Wisocky (known for her roles in shows like “Star Trek: Discovery” and “Stumptown”) is portraying a character named Alberta. Details about her are still under wraps, but based on the image, she seems to be fitting in quite well with the group. Is she another one of the house’s former residents who has passed on? Perhaps a relative of one of the existing ghosts? Only time will tell!

Keeping it Funny

The creators of Ghosts have promised that season 3 will be full of the same humor and heart that fans loved in the first two seasons. We can expect more hijinks with the ghosts as they try to help (or more likely hinder) Samantha and Jay with their B&B business. There will also be more exploration of the characters’ backstories, both the living and the dead. And of course, with the addition of Alberta, there’s bound to be some fresh comedic fuel for the fire.

When Can We Watch?

Season 3 of Ghosts premiered on February 15, 2024, so if you haven’t already, be sure to check it out on CBS. With its perfect blend of spooky charm and laugh-out-loud moments, Ghosts is sure to be a hauntingly good time for viewers of all ages. So, grab your popcorn, dim the lights, and get ready to meet the newest member of the Woodstone Mansion crew!
